Today is a very, very sad day for me.
Grayson's last day at Grace Academy. They have been the BEST of friends for the last 3 years, have played every sport together and shared a million laughs (and a few arguments).
Tracy (G's mom) has been my rock, my best friend, my everything... she has covered me a million times at school functions when I couldn't be there. She's helped rear Tristan in a way and he loves her. He has always just "been a part of their family" when it was needed. I will be forever thankful for that.
It reminds me so much of me and Poolsie. She (to this day) is my best childhood friend. When I can't get #16 in sports, I take #12... I only talk to her a few times a year (sadly) but when I do, nothing has changed. She's my person. She's the polar opposite of me and completely fills my soul. I had 17 years of her in school and then 40 years in my life...
My heart breaks that Tristan and Grayson's journey will be different, heck it may even end because they aren't in school together and won't play sports together anymore. I'm devastated but I know God has this worked out. They will both find new friends.
I just pray their spirits always remember that first best friend. Who, when they needed someone to stand by there side - was always there.
We will miss seeing the May's everyday and they will forever hold a place of high honor in my heart.
My heart is truly grieving but utterly thankful for Grayson and Tracy. We love you guys!!
