A day of giving

It hasn't been so chipper around here these last few months.  Things have just been hard.

Sickness, cancer, death, financial issues, just hard stuff.

So for Christmas, I swore I would think of others and give as much as I could of my time, my talents, my resources.

Trying to teach Tristan to do the same.

So he and I made these for his class Christmas party next Friday...

and I tried to make the things inside useful (pencil, sharpener, eraser) not just junk

////

then, I made these for my bosses

a few could use some help with their breath - onion eaters. LOL

and then we made these for T's tutors and other teachers.

YUMMY pretzel's inside sprinkled with peppermint bark!

We had to go drop Davis and then swing by Operation Kindness to drop off the other day's RACK of dog and cat treats.

But, first stop - Chick-Fil-A - we were hungry!

As we were leaving... Tristan sees some military people... marines. some in cammo and some in their uniform and he asks what they are doing there.  Took me a second but I saw they were collecting money for Toys For Tots.  I was sitting there pondering if I should give to that too right now and BOOM - Tristan rolls down his window and hands them his $20 from his wallet.

I almost fell over.

That's my boy.  We've got ourselves a cheerful giver!!!
