Christmas Card 2016

It's been a rough year.  I was sick September, October and most of November.  Christmas shopping started 2 months late and I knew I was in big trouble with the card.

I had a "great" idea and failed miserably... so then, one night sitting by the fire, I just started snapping pictures.

A week of awesomeness!

Last Saturday we started the celebrations a tad early.  I can't help it.. I NEED Christmas - I need peace and kindness and just the Christmas spirit to be all around.

So, T and I started with a gingerbread house!!

On Monday, we had Braeden over for a play date...

We headed to the park and I just LOVED how we walked over...

Then on Tuesday, we ran to my office..

I made him sit at John's desk.  John told me to put him to work!!!

 Grammy sent T a cool Christmas ornament. He refuses to put it on the tree because he turns it on every night and sings a carol before we go to sleep!

Tuesday afternoon I told him we had to start his book report.

He said he needed inspiration but had to write. 

So, he taped his sucker to his pencil so he could write, lick... write. lick... write lick

Brilliant if you ask me!

Then I told him after the draft, he could break and we would write the final tomorrow.

Nope!  Finished the WHOLE thing!

The next thing was the book report float

He had to make a scene from the book on a box...

so he told me what he wanted, I brought in supplies

On Wednesday, my sweet friend Tisha took Tristan for a play date while I had surgery...

He had a blast.

We had a weird Thanksgiving.  Ruth Ann came over for steaks... we are having our REAL celebration on Sunday when Kim, Lon and the kids can do it so they aren't so rushed.

No one really got into the tree this year but it reminded ME to be thankful!!!

so, I ripped it down today.

On Friday we went to SOAR. I booked T's birthday party and sadly, I could only do 10 kids because it is SO expensive!

but for our play date... we had G, Cullen and Tay early.....

Then after an hour, Davis showed up for the fun and our evening play  date!!

After fun at SOAR we headed to McKinney for their annual Christmas weekend!

I've been 4 years in a row and it's the closest thing I can find to Skaneateles. I can't wait to take T there next year!!!

Anyway, first we had dinner

On Saturday, we bought our tree. It is close to one of my favorite days of the year...

I just LOVE every single second

My mantle has a few new additions this year...

Tristan changed into a red shirt and majorly got into the Christmas spirit!!

He loves our new outdoor decorations!

and my 2016 decs... Aunt Jeanne got the other penguin for her birthday...

she thanked us and then named him Ice Tristan (Ice T for short) - Bwahahahahahaha

There is a walking polar bear that I am getting next and an owl. Oh. my. gosh.

Grandparent's Day 2016

Tristan was a very excited and proud little guy today.  Such fun at Grandparent's Day!!

He showed me his very special owl that he made and I LOVE it!!!

We had front row seats!!

We found out that one family bout $1,000 worth of tickets and another bought 25 tickets ($50 each) and WE won - praise God!!!!
